HD DVD Players for Sale in Japan
In Japan the first HD DVD players for sale were put up by Toshiba in 2006 merely overcoming the blu ray discs that were also put up for sale by Sony. The HD-XA1 which was released by Toshiba became the first commercially available HD DVD Player for sale in the world. It was launched at a price of $936. Today, the sale of such high definition players has increased tenfold and the number of HD DVD format discs has also increased. The fact that most of the discs that are currently being manufactured by Sony are blu ray means that most of the other market players such as Panasonic (Matsushita) and Samsung have also setup their stores for the sale of such players. The delay in the launching of the PS3 has resulted in many enthusiasts about the blu ray discs having to drop their ideas.
But the problem with HD DVD players for sale is that they will soon become outdated as was the case with VHS tapes. These VHS tapes got converted into DVD format and today there has already been talk of DVD players being replaced with blu ray discs. The only comfort that one can take from this fact is that these HD DVD players for sale are now going at rock bottom rates and even the various HD DVD discs are also being sold quite cheaply.
When deciding whether to purchase a HD player or a blu ray player, it is advisable to go in for a HD player as all the distribution chains have cleared out all their HD DVD player and are being sold quite cheaply. The most reputed among all the companies to chose from is Toshiba as this company has many spare parts that can be stored in case the need should arise for a replacement.
